The Wilds

The Wilds is a creative world dreamed by Jon Tanners and Josh Karp and built by a team of weirdo professionals from across the globe.

Using clay, breakbeats, hi-tech scanning, low-tech puppets, and a healthy dose of something called the Unreal Engine (our lead architect Niru assures us this is an important piece of the puzzle) we are making something mysterious and unique that we think you will love.

The Wilds is an Art Project. Spearheaded by Studio Linguini, the Wilds is built using physical puppets and landscape construction scanned into the development engine to create an entirely unique world based on a hybrid of physical and digital objects. 

The Wilds is a video game: Follow Flor as she collects sounds in a joyless world, on a mission to bring music back to the people and uncover the mysteries of her family history. Guided by the enigmatic Collector and his staff in the underground vinyl bunker, Flor sets off to gather samples hidden throughout the AboveGround wasteland and turn them into Slaps to unlock The Collector's archive of wisdom and experience. 

The Wilds is a listening environment: The Bar is a social space. We invite you to spend time in the underground vinyl bunker listening to records, sipping a Bow & Arrow, and sinking into wood tones and plush velvet. Pop your headphones on and stay a while. The Bartender will keep you straight. 

The Wilds is a record label focused on reimagining what it means to release and interact with music in a world filled with disposable distribution avenues and an unimaginable volume of musical static. The Wilds is a world where algorithm is a dirty word and good taste and community are guiding lights towards good vibes and great music.
